Homegrown pizza company switches to hometown communications solution

With 24 locations throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, Davanni’s Pizza & Hot Hoagies needed a new communications system. They wanted to find one company that could connect most (if not all) of their restaurants. They also wanted a system that was reliable and offered a solution, should the phone or Internet crash. “More than 50 percent of our business is done over the phone, said Ed Johnson, I.T. manager for Davanni’s. “They must work. When we’ve experienced weather or construction related outages, thanks to managedIP, we access the portal and quickly forward calls to a manager’s cell phone.”

As part of the TDS managedIP Hosted service package, Davanni’s not only has a completely new phone system, they also have an all-in-one ISP and phone provider. And, TDS installed the new communications system at the 20 Davanni’s locations within TDS’ service area—creating greater productivity and efficiency for customers and employees.

Davanni’s is also enjoying the customer service TDS provides. Johnson said, “[The] customer service has been outstanding. On New Year’s Day, we had a router fail. TDS sent a technician from Rochester, Minn. through the blizzard, the same day. Our router went out at 9 a.m. and by 2 p.m. it was replaced and our service was fixed. We didn’t miss a single call, thanks to the call routing feature and TDS’ quick response.”
